Welcome to
Moreland Village
The Ideal Setting for Your Lowcountry Adventure.
Moreland Village is the perfect home base for exploring the Lowcountry. Located within an incredible natural setting, the forest, marsh and waterway meet to create a distinctive environment. Trails connect the community and lead to convenient amenities as well as gathering spaces in the woods and along the water. You can walk the live oak trails, kayak, paddleboard or fly-fish in the river. Then gather with family and friends for an evening Lowcountry boil under the stars.
Unfolding along the shores of the Inland Waterway, the New River, and Cauley’s Creek, Moreland Village is home to both the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy, the Palmetto Bluff Club, and an array of inviting amenities. Along with the Moreland Landing boat ramp for easy access to waterway adventures, shady trails promise invigorating hikes, and a towering treehouse fuels the exploratory spirit of kids at every age. In addition, a trio of eateries showcase casual coastal flare and a game room and bowling alley strike just the right chord for club members seeking a friendly challenge.
Rural & Informal
Moreland Village
Architecture
Taking cues from the history of the land, Moreland somehow feels more rural and informal. Perhaps it is the distance from Wilson Village or its setting in an original field previously reserved for dove hunting, but Moreland architecture breaks from the more traditional interpretations of Lowcountry style and encourages a more contemporary vision. Engaging with the outdoors and nature is the Moreland lifestyle, and the architecture reflects this by blurring those lines between inside and out. Details include exposed rafter tails, lower sloped roofs, larger expanses of glass, cable handrails, steel windows and doors, and plenty of porches.
Eateries
Eateries
From morning coffee and conversation to lunchtime panini’s, salads, and snacks, the offerings at The Canteen have earned a devoted fan base. At Flame Food Truck, artisanal pizzas and casual comfort foods bring a taste of Italy to Moreland. And for Palmetto Bluff Club members, Cole’s Lowcountry Tavern pairs fresh, Instagram-worthy dishes with curated wines, local brews, and signature cocktails.
